Neuland Lettering: Introduction & Exploration

When

Saturday, April 11

9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Description

This is an alphabet by German type designer Rudolf Koch while he worked at the Klingspor Type Foundry. He was a skilled calligrapher in his own right. In this class you will learn the simple principles of Neuland and then also enjoy writing with the alternative letterforms. Think of it as a guided tour but then you will be on your own and the only rule is to explore and be inspired by what you see being created. This versatile hand is useful for broadsides, envelopes, certificates, ceramic pots, walls and posters.
